MASTERCLASS
SATURDAY 28TH NOVEMBER 2020
TIME: 19:00 - 19:30
Hattingley invites you to join our Head Winemaker & Director, Emma Rice as she takes you on the journey of Hattingley, from its inception to where it is today. You’ll also hear from Simon Robinson, the owner and founder. Whilst Emma takes you through the wines, she will explain how she makes them and you will also receive a visual tour of the winery at the same time.
Who’d have thought you’d be sitting at home receiving a personal tour and tasting from one of the UK’s leading winemakers? Will it be as good as coming to the winery in person? Probably not but at least you can do this one in your pyjamas…
If you're intending to join in this masterclass, please do sign up to the Wine Festival's newsletter. That way, they can keep you updated with the latest details you'll need to know before the event.
Please do chill the wines beforehand and be sure to have the wines open and glasses ready to go before the session starts. If you have a Google/Gmail account, please do sign into YouTube ahead of time too - that way you can post comments or questions live during the masterclass. Or get your social media primed and ready! If you have any problems, please email hello@thewinefestival.co.uk.
Wines to be tasted:
Classic Reserve NV - £30.00
Our Classic Reserve is pale gold in colour with delicate and fine long-lasting bubbles. The beautifully complex bouquet combines aromas of green apples with creamy nougat, freshly baked brioche and delicate toasted notes from ageing in bottle. On the palate, the complexity continues with notes of soft lemon sherbet, biscuit and a subtle oak character. Refreshing and perfectly balanced, with a delightfully long finish.
Rosé 2015- £36.00
This elegant Rosé has a subtle delicate salmon hue and a soft mousse, with bright red fruit and summer berry aromas. On the palate, delicious strawberry coulis flavours, creamy texture and fine toasty notes. A harmonious wine, with extraordinary depth, freshness and perfectly balanced acidity.
Blanc de Blancs 2013- £47.50
Pale golden colour with gentle green hues and delicate bubbles, this Blanc de Blancs displays beautifully the pure linear character of the Chardonnay - white stone fruit, citrus fruit and a delicious honeyed character on the nose; clean and mineral flavours with pastry and brioche notes on the palate. It has a well balanced and refreshing acidity that gives way to a creamy mouthfeel and long, complex finish.
